Travel Tips
Late March to April brings cherry blossoms, and October to November brings fall foliage — both are peak seasons, so book early. June to August is hot and humid; December to February is cold but quiet.
Most custom itineraries run 10–14 days. Ten days covers Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka comfortably; two weeks lets you add the Alps, Hiroshima, or a slower pace.
It depends on your route — the JR Pass pays off on longer multi-city itineraries but isn't always the cheapest option for shorter trips. Your specialist will calculate the best rail strategy for your route.
Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka form the classic first-timer route, balancing modern city life with historic temples and food culture. Your specialist can add day trips to Nara, Hakone, or Hiroshima.
